Chromium Picolinate is an intermediary in the biosynthesis of nicotinamide from tryptophan. Research suggests that chromium picolinate – rather than a polynicotinate form or an ill-characterised niacin-containing “Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF)” – is the natural chelate of chromium in living things.
