As Vitamin C facilitates the absorption o firon from the diet, high intake of vitamin C should not be taken by patients with iron overload syndromes (e.g. haemotochromatosis, thalasaemia).
High intake of vitamin C should not be taken by individuals with a susceptibility to kidney stone formation.
